House Site Pattas Distributed to Bhagat Singh Colony Residents in Nellore City

House site pattas were distributed to the residents of Bhagat Singh Colony within the Nellore City Assembly Constituency, marking a significant step towards ensuring housing security for the urban poor. The residents of the colony had earlier been misled by the previous government, resulting in prolonged uncertainty regarding their housing rights. Addressing this long-standing issue, the present coalition government has taken decisive steps to provide permanent solutions by issuing house site pattas in a phased manner to a total of 1,429 eligible beneficiaries.

As part of the second phase of this initiative, house site pattas were distributed today to 134 beneficiaries. In addition, under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) 2.0, possession certificates were issued to 88 beneficiaries belonging to the Girijan Colony, enabling them to proceed with the construction of their homes. Furthermore, financial assistance was extended to support housing construction, with cheques of ₹2.5 lakh each distributed to 13 applicants who had applied under the scheme. These initiatives underscore the government’s commitment to inclusive development and its focus on providing dignified housing and long-term security to all sections of society.
