On the occasion of the 125th birth anniversary of Sri Potti Sriramulu, the 58-foot statue of the legendary freedom fighter was unveiled at Shakhamuru Park in the capital city of Amaravati paying tribute to his unparalleled sacrifices. Known as the living embodiment of selfless dedication, Sri Potti Sriramulu is honored in Andhra Pradesh as the “Statue of Sacrifice.”
The towering statue stands as a lasting reminder of his contributions and immortal sacrifices inspiring generations to uphold his values of service, courage and commitment to the people. The monument reflects the respect and admiration of the state for his dedication to the cause of social justice and his role in shaping Andhra Pradesh.
The unveiling ceremony was graced by several dignitaries including CM Nara Chandrababu Naidu garu, Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan garu, Minister Nara Lokesh garu, Ministers TGV Bharath garu and Savitha garu, Union Minister Dr. Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani garu, BJP state president Madhav garu along with MLAs and Arya Vysya Corporation Chairman Doondi Rakesh garu. The event marked a historic celebration honoring the legacy of an icon whose life epitomized selfless service to society
