During my visit to Kovvur in East Godavari district I personally reviewed several local issues and assured timely solutions to improve public welfare. As part of the visit I inspected the Pushkara ghats at the sacred Goshpada Kshetram to assess their condition and the need for further development.
A major concern regarding the dumping yard was also discussed and a plan has been proposed to transport the waste to a Waste to Energy plant being developed near Kakinada which will help in managing waste more efficiently and sustainably. In addition efforts are being made to resolve drinking water issues within the municipality through the implementation of the AMRUT scheme with an allocation of ₹70 crores ensuring better access to clean water for residents.
