Visited Aravinda Nagar in the 3rd Division of Nellore city and laid the foundation stone for CC drain works being undertaken at a cost of ₹19.20 lakhs.
Recalling the 2017 floods, when nearly half of Nellore city was submerged, then Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu personally reviewed the situation. Following my request, ₹50 crores were sanctioned for canal restoration.
During the canal development works, leaders of YSR Congress Party attempted to politicize the issue. Despite this, we are carrying out restoration work with care, ensuring minimal inconvenience to encroachers.
As part of the initiative, rent is being provided to 80 displaced families. Furthermore, permanent houses worth ₹2.50 lakhs each will be constructed for them.
