I visited Aravinda Nagar in the 3rd Division of Nellore City and laid the foundation stone for CC drain works being constructed at a cost of ₹19.20 lakh.
In 2017, when half of Nellore city was affected by floods, Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu personally reviewed the situation. At my request, ₹50 crore was allocated for the restoration of canals. When the canal development works began, YSRCP leaders attempted to politicize the issue. However, we are carefully restoring the canals without causing inconvenience to encroachers.
As part of the canal restoration process, rent is being provided to 80 families who lost their houses. Each of them will also be provided a permanent house with an assistance of ₹2.50 lakh.
