I visited the Nellore Smart Street which has become a new landmark for women empowerment and interacted with women entrepreneurs. With the aim of creating at least one woman entrepreneur in every household we have established the Smart Street in Nellore. It gives me great satisfaction to see women running their own businesses there and standing on their own feet.
Along with allotting container shops I have personally supported 120 women by providing one lakh rupees each from my own funds. The Smart Street set up in Nellore has become a model for the entire country and we plan to establish similar Smart Streets in other regions as well.
