A site visit was conducted at Parameswari Nagar in Nellore to review the progress of the ongoing construction of the Abdul Kalam International School on Wakf Board land. The project represents a significant step toward strengthening educational opportunities for students and creating a modern learning environment equipped with world-class facilities.
Being developed at an estimated cost of ₹20 crore, the Abdul Kalam International School will feature state-of-the-art infrastructure, including a swimming pool and other facilities designed to support the overall academic and personal development of students. The project reflects a commitment to ensuring that quality education is accessible to all sections of society.
With a vision to empower future generations through education, efforts are underway to provide free, high-quality, corporate-standard education to nearly 15,000 underprivileged students in Nellore. This initiative aims to bridge educational disparities and equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in an increasingly competitive world.
In addition to the construction of the Abdul Kalam International School, 14 more schools are being upgraded to corporate standards based on the successful VRC model. These initiatives mark the beginning of transformative reforms in the education sector, enhancing learning environments and improving educational outcomes for thousands of students across the city.
Alongside educational development, major urban infrastructure projects are progressing rapidly throughout Nellore. Comprehensive works involving end-to-end road development, underground drainage systems, and AMRUT projects are being implemented with the goal of completion by December. These efforts are aimed at transforming Nellore into a cleaner, dust-free, and more livable city, ensuring better civic amenities and an improved quality of life for all residents.
