Preparations for the upcoming “Roti Festival” at Barashahid Dargah in Nellore, scheduled to be held for five days starting from the 26th of this month, were reviewed. Officials have been directed to complete all arrangements by the 24th.
Special emphasis has been laid on ensuring adequate drinking water supply, sanitation, traffic management, and security. Instructions have been issued to make arrangements in accordance with the expected crowd to ensure that devotees do not face any inconvenience.
It was noted that the 415-year-old Barashahid Dargah stands as a symbol of communal harmony. The annual festival attracts lakhs of devotees who participate with the belief that their wishes will be fulfilled.
It was further stated that, along with permanent measures such as the construction of ghats undertaken in the past, the government remains committed to ensuring that this year’s Roti Festival is conducted in a grand manner without any sanitation-related issues.
