A grand “Two Years of Trust, Development and Welfare Celebrations” meeting of the coalition government was held at KPR Mandapam near Mydukur Gate Centre in Nellore. The event highlighted the government’s progress in implementing key welfare schemes and development initiatives aimed at improving the lives of people across the state.
The government is spending approximately ₹34,000 crore to benefit around 65 lakh people. Major welfare schemes such as “Thalliki Vandanam” for 67 lakh beneficiaries, annual assistance of ₹20,000 to farmers, free bus travel for women, and the provision of three free gas cylinders are being effectively implemented, ensuring direct support to households across the state.
Under the leadership of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and young leader Nara Lokesh, the government is focusing on attracting large-scale investments and promoting industrial growth. These efforts are aimed at strengthening the state’s economy, generating employment opportunities, and laying a strong foundation for long-term development.
The construction of Amaravati is progressing with an investment of ₹60,000 crore, with plans to complete the capital city by August 2028. The government also aims to begin the Polavaram project before the next Pushkaralu, marking a major milestone in water resource development.
In Nellore, significant development works are underway, including ₹800 crore under AMRUT 2.0, ₹550 crore for drinking water projects, modernization of schools, house site distribution, and free healthcare services. These initiatives are being implemented with the vision of transforming Nellore into a model city of progress and welfare.
