A comprehensive meeting was held at the Guntur Collectorate with the Tadikonda MLA, farmers and government officials to discuss land acquisition for the proposed railway track and Inner Ring Road projects in Amaravati.
During the meeting, farmers from Mothadaka, Kantheru and Tadikonda stated that the required land should be acquired through the Land Pooling Scheme (LPS). Officials engaged with the farmers in detail, addressing their concerns and clarifying various aspects of the proposed land pooling process.
It was reiterated that, in accordance with the directions of the Hon’ble Chief Minister, the Government is giving the highest priority to the opinions and interests of farmers. The remaining concerns will be addressed through Gram Sabha consultations before any further steps are initiated.
The Government also affirmed that the Land Pooling process will be taken forward only with the consent of the farmers. While safeguarding farmers’ interests, efforts will continue to accelerate the development of Amaravati’s key infrastructure, including the railway corridor and the Inner Ring Road.
