Strengthening government education through modern infrastructure, technology and better learning environments is a key priority for Nellore. With an investment of ₹200 crore for government school development and ₹15 crore for the modernisation of Veer High School, focused efforts are underway to bring quality infrastructure and contemporary facilities to students. A dedicated ₹2.5 crore every month is also being provided for essential school maintenance and infrastructure requirements, ensuring that schools remain well-equipped and conducive to learning.
Digital education is being strengthened alongside physical infrastructure, with 10,000 students set to receive laptops to enhance access to technology and digital learning. At the same time, ₹20 crore has been allocated for the construction of the Abdul Kalam International School, inspired by the vision of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam and aimed at creating opportunities for students to access high-quality, globally oriented education.
Modernisation efforts are also being extended to schools including RSR School, Muralapeta DSR Girls School, BVS School, VIPM School and MSM School. Together, these initiatives are focused on creating modern, technology-enabled and student-friendly government schools, ensuring that every child has the infrastructure, resources and opportunities needed to build a confident and successful future.
