Inspected the state-of-the-art Waste-to-Energy Plant under construction at Anuru in Peddapuram Mandal, Kakinada District, along with local MLA Shri Nimmakayala Chinarajappa. Reviewed the progress of construction works with engineering officials and directed them to complete the plant and bring it into operation by August next year.
Once operational, the plant will convert waste collected from municipalities and villages within a 100-kilometre radius into fuel and electricity, strengthening scientific waste management and promoting sustainable development.
The Peddapuram plant is one of six Waste-to-Energy plants being constructed across Andhra Pradesh. These projects reflect the state government’s commitment to modern waste management practices and transforming waste into valuable energy resources. Through these initiatives, we are working towards cleaner cities, sustainable communities and a cleaner, greener Andhra Pradesh.
