Several significant decisions have been taken to advance Amaravati’s planned development, with a focus on strengthening infrastructure, progressing land pooling and facilitating institutional development. As part of these measures, administrative approval was granted to invite tenders worth ₹662 crore for the 250-metre-high iconic spire atop the Assembly building and ₹1,548 crore for infrastructure development in LPS layouts across 29 villages.
The second phase of land pooling was also reviewed, with participation remaining voluntary. Farmers holding less than one acre will receive an annual lease payment of ₹40,000 per acre, in line with the first phase. The target is to complete 80% of land pooling by the end of October. The Authority further approved land allocations for schools and various institutions, while the airport proposal will be placed before the upcoming Cabinet meeting. These measures are aimed at strengthening Amaravati’s infrastructure and supporting its planned development.
