A ₹57.25 lakh modernised water tank in Zakir Hussain Nagar has been inaugurated as part of the initiatives being taken by Minister Ponguru Narayana to strengthen Nellore’s drinking water infrastructure. The focus is on improving the city’s water supply network and ensuring reliable access to drinking water for residents.
The Sangam Barrage drinking water supply works are targeted for completion by the end of December. Under Minister Ponguru Narayana’s focus on strengthening essential civic infrastructure, the project is expected to further improve the city’s water supply capacity and meet the growing needs of Nellore.
Further efforts are being taken to extend improved infrastructure and civic amenities across every part of Nellore. The broader objective is to strengthen the city’s essential services and develop Nellore as a model for urban development in Andhra Pradesh.
