A New Milestone in Nellore Development with Upgraded Park and Community Infrastructure

A new chapter in Nellore’s urban development was marked with the inauguration of the renovated Banglathota Park and a fully air-conditioned Mini Community Hall in Nawabpet, 9th Division, at a cost of ₹39 lakh. Municipal Administration Minister Shri Ponguru Narayana highlighted the importance of providing residents with improved recreational spaces, green infrastructure and affordable community facilities.

As part of Nellore’s ongoing urban development initiatives, 40 of the 47 parks identified for modernisation have already been completed and opened to the public. Air-conditioned community halls are also being established to support affordable social and family functions. Alongside these initiatives, underground drainage works are being accelerated to create a cleaner, healthier and flood-resilient city. With the active participation of citizens, the focus remains on addressing waterlogging, promoting a mosquito-free Nellore and advancing sustainable urban development for the benefit of all residents.
