A New Milestone in Nellore Development with Upgraded Park and Community Infrastructure

A new chapter in Nellore’s urban development was marked with the inauguration of the renovated Banglathota Park and a fully air-conditioned Mini Community Hall in Nawabpet, 9th Division. Developed at a cost of ₹39 lakh, these facilities have been created to provide residents with improved recreational spaces and affordable community infrastructure.

The project forms part of the city’s ongoing park development initiative. Of the 47 parks identified for modernization across Nellore, 40 have already been completed and opened to the public, significantly enhancing green spaces and recreational opportunities for citizens. In addition, air-conditioned community halls are being established to enable families to host social and family functions at an affordable cost.

The city is also accelerating underground drainage works to build a cleaner, healthier, and flood-resilient urban environment. With the active support and participation of citizens, the focus remains on creating a mosquito-free city, addressing waterlogging issues, and ensuring sustainable urban development for the benefit of all residents.
