Abdul Kalam International School is a landmark educational initiative aimed at strengthening access to quality, future-ready learning in Nellore. The foundation stone for the school was laid at Parameswar Nagar, Nellore, on land allotted by the Andhra Pradesh Waqf Board, marking a significant step toward inclusive and transformative education.
Conceived in honour of Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, the school is envisioned as a centre of excellence that will provide free, international-standard education from LKG to Class XII. Equipped with modern classrooms, advanced laboratories, and contemporary learning infrastructure, the institution is designed to foster academic excellence, innovation, and holistic student development.
The project is being developed at an estimated cost of ₹20 crore, with financial support mobilised through CSR funds by MP C. M. Ramesh. The school is managed by the Andhra Pradesh Waqf Board, with a strong emphasis on inclusive, value-based education and a special focus on empowering underprivileged and minority students. Construction is progressing steadily, and admissions are scheduled to commence from June.
