Abdul Kalam International School: Pioneering Future-Ready Education in Nellore

The foundation stone laying of Abdul Kalam International School at Parameswar Nagar, Nellore on land allotted by the Andhra Pradesh Waqf Board reflects a strong commitment to expanding access to quality, future-ready education.

Conceived in honour of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, this institution is envisioned as a centre of excellence, offering free, international-standard education from LKG to Class XII. With modern classrooms, advanced laboratories, and contemporary learning infrastructure, the school will nurture academic excellence, innovation, and holistic development among students.

The project is being developed at an estimated cost of ₹20 crore, with financial support mobilised through CSR funds by MP C.M. Ramesh. Managed by the Andhra Pradesh Waqf Board, the school places strong emphasis on inclusive and value-based education, with a special focus on empowering underprivileged and minority students. Construction is progressing steadily, and admissions will commence from June.

The foundation stone ceremony was attended by  MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy, MP Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy, former Legislative Council Chairman M.A. Sharif, NUDA Chairman Kotamreddy Srinivasulu Reddy, and Andhra Pradesh State Waqf Board Chairman Abdul Aziz, along with other dignitaries. This initiative strengthens Nellore’s educational ecosystem and reflects a collective commitment to building a knowledge-driven, inclusive, and empowered future.
