Hon’ble Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu chaired a review meeting on the progress of the ‘Swarna Andhra – Swachh Andhra’ initiative in which I participated along with senior officials.
During the review, the Chief Minister announced the Swarna Andhra – Swachh Andhra rankings. Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram and Guntur districts secured the top three positions.
He directed that new public toilets be constructed in municipalities and that 100% garbage clearance be achieved by June. He also advised the establishment of waste-to-energy plants within designated limits, removal of legacy waste from dumping yards and enhancement of urban greenery.
The review meeting was attended by PCB Chairman Krishnaiah Swachh Andhra Corporation Chairman Pattabhi MAUD Principal Secretary Suresh Kumar Industries Secretary Yuvaraj MAUD Commissioner Sampath Kumar Panchayat Raj Director Krishna Teja and other senior officials.
