As part of the ongoing electoral roll maintenance process, participation was taken in the door-to-door survey in Nellore city, with directions issued to Booth Level Agents (BLAs) and Booth Level Officers (BLOs) regarding the proper upkeep of the voter list.
It was observed that several public welfare development works initiated in 2014 were discontinued by the previous YSR Congress Party government. Key infrastructure projects, including an underground drainage system and drinking water supply works worth ₹1,100 crore, which were nearly 90% complete, were also halted midway.
It was further noted that 204 Anna Canteens established for the poor were shut down during the previous regime, affecting public welfare services. It was stated that these development and welfare initiatives are now being restarted, along with the implementation of election promises.
With both development and welfare being given equal priority, it was observed that the government is receiving strong public support. At the same time, it was noted that unable to accept this support, opposition leaders are attempting to spread misinformation, despite being limited to 11 seats by the public verdict.Government Reaffirms Commitment to Development and Welfare in Nellore
