A meeting was held at the Amaravati Secretariat with representatives of the Central Road Research Institute (CRRI) to review infrastructure development in the capital region. The discussions focused on the quality, standards, and future planning of road networks and related civic infrastructure in Amaravati.
As part of its assessment, a team of CRRI experts conducted a comprehensive study of the internal roads, drainage systems, and electrical line infrastructure in Amaravati Land Pooling Scheme (LPS) Zones 2, 5, 9, 10, and 12. The team carried out detailed field inspections to evaluate the current status and performance of the infrastructure works.
Following the site visits, the experts shared several key recommendations aimed at enhancing the quality and long-term durability of road construction across the capital region. Their observations and technical inputs are expected to contribute significantly to the planning and execution of future infrastructure projects in Amaravati.
The CRRI team is currently finalizing its findings and will soon submit a detailed report to the Government, outlining recommendations and a roadmap for the future development of Amaravati’s road network.
The meeting was attended by CRRI Director C.H. Ravishankar, Chief Scientist Dr. K. Ravinder, Principal Scientist (Flexible Pavement) Dr. Bharat, and ADC Chief Engineer C.H. Dhanunjaya.
