A comprehensive review meeting on the development of Udayagiri was held at the R&B Guest House, attended by Member of Parliament Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy, MLC Beeda Ravichandra, and District Collector Himanshu Shukla. The meeting focused on accelerating infrastructure projects, improving public services, and advancing long-term development initiatives in the constituency.
During the visit, newly constructed cement concrete (CC) roads built at a cost of ₹1.80 crore were inaugurated. Plans were also discussed to provide a permanent solution for drinking water and irrigation needs in the Udayagiri and Seetharamapuram mandals, with a focus on ensuring sustainable water resources for the region.
The meeting highlighted the state’s growing investment momentum, driven by the efforts of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Minister Nara Lokesh. Four industries have been approved for Udayagiri, and the projects are expected to generate employment opportunities for nearly 4,000 people.
The government has allocated ₹1,098.79 crore for welfare initiatives in Udayagiri and ₹34.64 crore for mandal-level development works. The review also reaffirmed the government’s commitment to reopening Anna Canteens, completing TIDCO housing projects, and implementing additional development proposals, including new roads and another Anna Canteen, in a phased manner.
