The State Government has intensified its focus on strengthening irrigation infrastructure and promoting agricultural development in Konaseema region. Hon’ble Chief Minister Sri Nara Chandrababu Naidu, along with the Minister, participated in key development programmes aimed at improving water management and supporting the farming community.
As part of these initiatives, the Hon’ble Chief Minister inaugurated the works for installation of 117 new gates at the historic Sir Arthur Cotton Barrage in Dowleswaram. The project is expected to further enhance irrigation efficiency and strengthen water regulation systems benefiting the region.
During an interaction with farmers from the Kothapeta constituency at Pitchukulanka, the Chief Minister and officials discussed the challenges, suggestions, and needs of the farming community. The Government reiterated its commitment to agricultural growth, assured irrigation facilities, and farmer welfare as key pillars of its development agenda.
The Chief Minister also reviewed the progress of 36 priority projects being implemented across the State. District Collectors and senior officials from various districts participated virtually in the review meeting and shared updates on project implementation and timelines.
