As part of a two-day official visit, a delegation arrived in Malaysia and held a meeting with Klang Member of Parliament Ganabatirau and Minister Papparaidu to discuss the objectives and schedule of the study programme.
At the headquarters of KDEB Waste Management Sdn Bhd in Selangor, Malaysian officials made a comprehensive presentation on the prevailing solid waste management practices in the region.
It was observed that KDEB Waste Management Sdn Bhd efficiently manages solid waste generated from households, commercial establishments, and industrial sectors through an integrated system. Detailed insights were presented on the advanced mechanisms adopted for waste collection, transportation, processing, and scientific waste management.
It was also informed that further visits are scheduled to biomedical, industrial, and poultry waste management facilities, along with field-level waste management centers, to study the systems being implemented on the ground.
