During a visit to Mulapeta Girls’ High School, the ongoing modernization works being undertaken with ₹20 crore in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funding were reviewed. The school is being transformed into an institution of international standards with modern infrastructure, advanced learning facilities, and a state-of-the-art sports ground, reflecting the government’s commitment to strengthening public education.
The initiative is aimed at providing children from economically disadvantaged families with access to world-class education by upgrading government schools to standards comparable with leading private institutions. As part of the broader education reform agenda, the VRC School, which had been closed by the previous government, has been reopened and is now providing quality free education to 1,100 underprivileged students. Through the P-4 initiative, educational opportunities are being expanded to benefit many more children.
Building on the success of this model, plans are underway to develop 13 more government schools with similar infrastructure and facilities. The initiative is expected to position Nellore as a national benchmark for excellence in public education.
