During an inspection of the development works at Mulapeta DSR Girls’ High School, Minister Narayana interacted with students and joined them in a friendly game of cricket at the school playground, creating an enthusiastic atmosphere among the students.
The Minister reviewed the progress of various initiatives aimed at strengthening education infrastructure in Nellore and stated that 15 government schools in the city are being transformed with international-standard facilities. Officials were instructed to complete the construction of the international school being developed on 5.5 acres of land allotted by the Waqf Board by Vijayadashami.
Emphasising the importance of improved urban infrastructure, the Minister directed officials to accelerate the ₹50 crore project for the modernisation of 15 major drains in Nellore and complete all works by December. The initiative is aimed at providing a long-term solution to the city’s flood and waterlogging challenges.
The Minister further stated that projects such as the Underground Drainage (UGD) system and drinking water initiatives, which had faced neglect in the previous government’s tenure, are being revived and fast-tracked. He reiterated that the government’s objective is to provide poor and deserving students with corporate-level education facilities while ensuring comprehensive development across the city.Nellore Focuses on World-Class Education and Urban Infrastructure Development
