Nellore Set for Record-Breaking Bicycle Distribution Drive for 7,000 Government School Students

Preparations are underway for a grand bicycle distribution programme aimed at supporting government school students in Nellore. Minister Narayana inspected the arrangements at V.R.C. Grounds, the venue for the programme, which will witness the distribution of 7,000 bicycles at a cost of ₹4 crore.

The programme will benefit students from 23 government high schools across Nellore city and rural areas. During the inspection, the Minister reviewed the arrangements with officials and issued necessary instructions to ensure smooth execution of the event.

The Minister emphasized the importance of making all necessary arrangements for the convenience of students, including proper venue management, transportation, safety measures, and essential facilities.

This landmark initiative is set to create history in Andhra Pradesh, as the distribution of 7,000 bicycles on a single day is expected to be the highest-ever such effort in the state. The Minister reviewed the preparations in detail and directed all departments concerned to work in coordination to ensure the successful conduct of the programme.

The initiative reflects the government’s commitment to encouraging students and providing support to enhance access to education and improve learning opportunities for government school students.
