The Municipal Administration and Urban Development Department, through MEPMA, organised the ‘One Family – One Entrepreneur (OFOE)’ Business Partners Summit in Amaravati, bringing together leading brands and stakeholders to promote entrepreneurship among urban self-help group women. During the summit, Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) were signed with 12 prominent brands to create new business opportunities and strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
The OFOE initiative aims to provide franchise opportunities to women from self-help groups with investments ranging from ₹2 lakh to ₹20 lakh, enabling them to establish successful enterprises across diverse sectors. Through this programme, women are being provided with a structured pathway to become independent entrepreneurs and contribute to the growth of the urban economy.
The initiative will offer comprehensive support through access to credit facilities under schemes such as MUDRA and CGTMSE, partnerships with banks, entrepreneurship development training, technical guidance, and continuous assistance from MEPMA. These measures are designed to reduce barriers for aspiring entrepreneurs and help them build sustainable businesses.
The One Family – One Entrepreneur programme aims to create a sustainable livelihood opportunity for every poor urban family, strengthen women’s empowerment, and accelerate inclusive economic development in urban areas.
