During the Public Grievance Redressal Programme held at the Nellore District Collectorate, public petitions were received directly from citizens, providing an opportunity to understand and address their concerns firsthand. The initiative reflects the government’s continued commitment to responsive, transparent, and citizen-centric governance.
Out of 82,166 grievance petitions received in Nellore district, 71,549 have been successfully resolved, achieving an 87 percent resolution rate. Notably, only 5,384 applicants whose grievances had already been addressed submitted petitions again, indicating a high level of public confidence in the grievance redressal mechanism.
Among all petitions received, 57 percent pertained to the Revenue Department, with family property disputes and land boundary issues accounting for the majority of cases. The district administration has already resolved 84 percent of the grievances related to the Revenue Department, demonstrating sustained efforts to ensure timely and effective resolution of public issues.
