A review meeting was held with officials of the Swachh Andhra Corporation and Municipal Commissioners from across the State on solid waste management and the goal of achieving dump-yard-free municipalities.
It was reiterated that the Government’s objective is to transform all municipalities in the State into dump-yard-free urban local bodies.
Instructions were issued to ensure that solid waste generated every day is fully transported on the same day and processed scientifically without delay.
Acceleration was directed in the establishment of fresh waste processing plants, land acquisition, and provision of necessary electricity infrastructure to support the projects.
It was further directed that the procurement process for garbage transportation vehicles be expedited, and that sustainable and long-term solutions be implemented in solid waste management to achieve the vision of making all municipalities in the State dump-yard-free.
